History:
The Oasis House opened its doors in 2006 in York City through its auspice agency Bell Socialization Services. We are a proud member of the Pennsylvania Clubhouse Coalition and maintain accreditation by Clubhouse International.
Clubhouse Structure:
We believe that everyone has strengths, talents and abilities to contribute to the clubhouse community and we do our best to maintain a positive environment for all to thrive. We have 2 units: Clerical/Employment and Education and Kitchen/Snack Bar and Maintenance. The Clerical Unit focuses on reception and greeting, billing, outreach, typing minutes, and tracking statistics for the clubhouse. The Kitchen Unit prepares lunch each day which involves meal planning, food preparation, managing sales of lunches and other snacks and drinks, and serving and cleaning after meals. Additionally, the Oasis House has its own garden, thrift store, and strives to contribute to its surrounding community. As a whole the clubhouse maintains the interior and exterior of the property and provides support to its members in the areas of Employment and Education.
Directions:
From I-83 take Exit 16A (Queen Street) North towards York city. In about 3 miles S. Queen St. intersects E. Jackson St. Make a right onto E. Jackson St. The clubhouse is on that corner with a parking lot on the right.
